Reading "Song of the Paddle" by Bill Mason at Don Flower's house.

I want a do-it-all canoe that isn't too large, but will hold a decent amount of gear, and can be paddled solo or tandem.

I'll mostly do river floats with it, so rocker and maneuverability is attractive, straight-line speed wasn't necessary.

I love the looks of the tumblehome and recurved ends, too!
