Pulley cords
In Response To: S&G: Bulkhead Hatches? (John E)
I use them in my SOF boats to pull the float bags in and out. All thats needed is a contimnuous loop of rope with loops tied in it for clips that attach to the front and rear of the bags. Clipping both ends allows the bags to be pulled easily in either direction. A pulley in the end of the boat is not really necessary. A piece of 3/4" - 1" dowel works well enough and has no moving parts.
