Yeah, it is good. Building the yak is pretty addictive so just be careful to regulate the fun or ya might get it built so quickly you need to do another just to get satisfaction. It was an awesome experience to see the glued panels take shape when I began tying them together to form the hull. Even more awesome was the glassing. The wood grain and all of my mistakes wetted out so nicely and showed through so well I was thrilled. Even more awesome yet was tying in the deck. That's when I knew I got it right and I knew she was going to float and look pretty.

You have a few choices for artwork or graphics. You can dye certain panels (sheer panels commonly dyed brown)with wood dye, do insets, or do as I have done and use Tremclad Rust Paint to paint graphics over top of the epoxy. Tremclad provides great UV protection and by putting it on top of the epoxy you can easily change it. Some guys here use rice paper to support graphic designs and set the paper under the epoxy. I haven't tried that one yet but I have been thinking about it.
