Hi Rick,

You might want to search the archives.
There has been lots of discssions on changing the dimensions on many models, and many builders have done it successfully.
Also keep in mind that the people that have designed the kayaks (Nick in your case) have put a lot of time and effort into the design to make them perform in a particular manner. You might be better off building another design that will suit your needs better, rather than making major modifications to an existing design
