That's exactly why I went that route after tearing down two attempts to strip the hull on the Storm. I'll put the failers down to beginner's mistakes. Things went together pretty nicely with the internal stem.

If you used 3/4" forms, you can just run the stem between the half forms, keeping it a bit proud until everything is stripped and you're ready to fair the stem. If you went with 1/2", you probably want to cut a notch to allow the stem to sit between the forms.
