: On the hybrid Cormorant I am building, I simply used an increasing radius for
: the front deck. I believe I started with a 16" radius for the form at
: the front of the coaming. I increased the radius by 2" per foot for
: each form moving toward the bow. I stopped at a 24" radius as this is
: fairly flat. I made the rear deck flat. I'm pleased with the outcome. I
: have some pictures of the forms on my webpage. If anyone is interested, I
: can post a side view picture.

That looks like a great way to secure the temp forms, Kurt. I have never seen an internal strongback inside a S&G hull. Very nice. With sheerclamps I don't think it's necessary, but without them your method looks perfect. The deck stripping looks sensational! That is going to be one nice boat once completed. Looking forward to launch pics.

I wired together a .3 scale model Cormorant hull and gave it to a friend to finish. I really like the design, in fact if my buddy hasn't worked on it, I think I'll get it back. It deserves to be finished. The Cirrus deck on my .33 model is based on Bill & Chip's pop on/off with a split sheerclamp. I was going to just skin it, but it looks like it wants to be wood stripped. I'll get some pictures up after lunch.
