My wife likes my Pygmy Osprey so much I'm now building an Arctic Tern 14 for her. She really wants to have flames on the deck of the kayak from bow to stern. I'm thinking the best look would come from air-brushing on the flames after the glassing is done and prior to adding any varnish.

Two questions: 1) Has anyone else ever used an air-brush technique? If so, how'd it work out? 2) Does everyone agree with putting the flames on after the epoxy and prior to the varnish?
