That's how I started. I'm just in the process of making parts for my 4th airplane, a Sonex. I still fly the one I finished in 97, a Zodiac. (see pic below) Then there was an ultralight I built from plans back in 83 and managed to roll up in a ball that fall. I guess it was a good landing since I walked away . And my first was a beautiful little motorglider that I sold before I ever flew. (I was too heavy for it anyway...long story)
I'm still trying to decide which yak to build next...ahh retirement is hell!
