: I didn't think anybody else around here looked at the Duckworks stuff. I
: enjoy looking through that site. I do see some good ideas sometimes.
: Concerning the toto...I like it. I have been thinking about doing one for
: a fishing kayak...and maybe installing an electric motor. Boy...the
: projects just keep piling up.

After spending the first half of last week on San Juan Island, WA, with my Chesapeake and a freind's plastic double, I soon realized that a double would be nice. Especially an open double that could be used with or without an electric motor that I could take out solo or with a couple of my children. Then I stumbled across this design from Duckworks and ordered the plans for the Toto for $17. Got the plans two days later. Drafted the offsets for the panels in AutoCAD and plotted it half size. It sure looks like a design that would serve the purpose I was looking for, even scaled bigger, and the fact that it's easy to build is a bonus. This is the first model that I have built that may actually get it's bottom wet. Wish me luck. :)
