I built the Coho first, 2 years ago, love it. Had my eye on the AT14, like the iidea of30-35 lbs, playboat, also good size for my kids (and wife if I ever talk her into giving up a Saturday on horseback for the water). Instead, last year, I build the AT-Hi, thinking of all the comfort I would have for my 13's- which fit fine in the Coho, but bare feet or neo socks only, and a bit of an angle. Its a nice boat, but just too big- extra weight, sits high out of water, and esthetically, the extra height combined with the hard chine looks pretty boxy. I'm 6'1", 180, don't (yet) tour/camp, so I don't have the weight for it. I am now working on the AT14. I sat in one last fall, and at least for a few minute, dry sit, I found my feet fit just fine, a little more pointed than the Coho, but ok. I am looking forward to an easy carry, tighter boat at least for play and shorter trips. Still prefer the look and feel of the multichine.
, so my recommendation is a Coho, but many like the hard chine. However, I would definitely stay away from the Hi unless you are quite large and want to packalot of gear.
