Very Nice work ! You are to be commended for your creativity.
The lines are quite pleasing, especially for a 13 footer.
One thing I've found over the years is just how easily driven
a short kayak can be. Though not as fast, but cruise can be maintained
with little effort. Tracking isn't as critical since it takes so
little effort to course correct on a short waterline.

Backrest - Would it be possible to open up the backrest cross section, and
add another slightly aft of the Center of Balance (LCB) ?
