Last year I was out paddling for a whole day, it was rather warm in the air but the water was cold. I put on my diving-wetsocks, 7mm neopren with rubber sole.
Afterwards when I slipped out of the boots I could have used them for pesticide purposes, killing ants, moths and smaller mammals too. The boots was disgusting and took a lot of work to get in order again.
I would not for any reason what so ever put neopren, nylon coated or not, on my seat in the kayak. Every human tissue is breathing, exept your teeth, and in a closed compartment, as a kayak-cockpit and on a soft absorbing material the moisture, water damp, sweat and maybe saltwater, have nowhere to go. Its getting warm and become a very nice environment for microorganisms. I wouldn´t sit on that seat more then once. The next time it would be poisionus and regarded as a biological weapon.
I stick to my wooden seat, its dry and comfortable, easy to wipe off and nice to your butt.
Novadays I dont use the wetsocks during the whole day either. It wasn´t so fun to get them in shape and get rid of the odour.
