I'm also very interested in this situation. I build mostly hard chine S&G. My strippers are similar to what Hans Friedel designs rather than like the Guillemot. I am also influenced by Verlin Kruger, with his canoes, and some of the Bear Mountain boats...and others. Anyway...I can certainly see that the hard chine boats might be more of a handful in long trips on rough water. That's a very good point. Good comments so far. Hopefully more will come.
