what are you doing using those boat!!! jeez you'd think a layer or two of glass would take care of it! ok,,the smartass in me arises.
1. 3/8" half oval brass. Screwed and glued. problem solved.
2. dynel CORD from JR Sweet glued in with cabosil thickened 'poxy, done.
3. LOTS of glass and LOTS of fairing in.
4. chunk of UHMWPE plastic screwed into a recess for replacement as needed.
5. grab a tie down strap and cut three strips and lay them on with cabosil thickened 'poxy, looks ugly but works.
6. thick layer of 80/20 cabosil/wood flour thickened 'poxy.
7. dig around for a 3/8" piece of braided black dacron line, recess stern to fit 1/3 of line , soak in cabosil thickened 'poxy, lay into slot and build up with fillet on the sides. Now THAT would be intersting.

laying down layers of cloth and fairing them in is too much work for the thickness required. If you want 'draggability' then you gotta have thickness. ain't no way around it.
