I built a Waters Dancing Lightning 17. I used 1 and 1/2 4x8 sheets of OSB resting on 4 elcheapo sawhorses (I used those metal sawhorse bracket kit things). The resulting table was 12 ft long and I found the extra space at the ends of the table great for working on the ends of the kayak. After the hull and deck had been glued and taped I used only the 8 ft section as the stiffness of the hull kept everything straight. I had to build the kayak on the diagonal in my garage as it is only 18 ft long but I have shelving and other items to contend with. I also made two sling type stands to finish the kayak off.
