Sounds good, thanks. Do you leave the paddle float on your backup paddle for a quick switcheroo on paddles or do you simply lash down the float on deck seperately?

But you don't leave it on for normal paddling do you? That seems strange to me, I didn't really think about it before but I guess once you've reentered the kayak you may need to do some paddling before you can remove the float? Is that what you mean? Sorry for all the begineer questions.
