If you'd like to smooze with Wolfgang himself go to the Baidarka Mailing List at http://rtpnet.org/robroy/baidarka/. Wolfgang visited this site often in the past. Don't know about the present. In any event there is a lot of big time brain power building baidarka replicas and they seem to favor this site. You could get a PHD in baidarka building just by reading the many years of archives that are still posted there.
