if you're having trouble finding the wood you need (spruce, WRC, etc.) try working with a home-town limber yard or hardware store (not Lowes, Home Depot, etc.). Ask them where they order their lumber from. You my be able to special order what you need or if you'r lucky... the wholesaler lumber yard they get their stock from is in your area. I actually bought some of the clearest lumber I've ever seen (WRC) by paying for it through my local hardware store & going to the lumber yard to pick it out myself. Th local store did not routinely care the type I needed, but their supplier did!
