Here are a couple of pictures of the backband and the cockpit.

In the first (http://members.cox.net/gmorse7/kayak/BackDetail.jpg), you can see the detail of the cheek plate. I raised the holes about 1.5" because it felt more comfortable to me.

The second (http://members.cox.net/gmorse7/kayak/CheekMount.jpg), shows the overall cockpit and backband mounting mounting (the tab in the center bottom of the backband is just the tail of one of the straps, not mounted to anything).

Longest I've been in the boat is about 3 hours, good lumbar support. The padeye under the coaming at the rear is Pygmy standard. The velcro on the bottom is for my carved minicell seat (made a huge, positive difference). All the junk in the bilge is remnants of cutting the hatch holes, very traumatic. I upgraded to Yakima foot braces as well.

I'm about 6-1, 230, size 11 feet and fit fine. I'm not as limber as I once was but I can still flop my butt in the seat and then pull my legs in.

Hope this helps,

Greg
