True, they are built for different jobs. I was talking faster, not hauling more. The canoe would be the better boat for that. What I was saying is that the difference in width becomes obvious when displayed like that. My Triple kayak is like a pregnant Yak at 28" wide which is still probably another 8" narrower than the canoe. Like it says somewhere in Nicks book, the kayak can be narrower because you sit very low in one. The canoe must be wider because you sit high in it.
