Dave - Thanks for the input! I would love to hear more as you paddle it more. Where do you most of your paddling ? I am really interested in how this boat performs in steep chop. I paddle on San Francisco Bay and we get a lot of short steep chop here which makes for a wet ride in many boats.

Thanks again.

Ken

: I just finished building one for me and my daughter and had it out on the
: water on Sunday, briefly.

: I have never paddled a double before, so I can't really compare it to
: another. Overall, I was very happy with it. It was fast and responsive. My
: daughter didn't really contribute to paddling, and I was able to easily
: outpace my wife who was in my Guillemont (to be fair, she is a novice).

: I used the rudder I installed a bit, but when I put it up it tracked well
: even in moderate wind. My daughter didn't want to swim, so I didn't really
: have an opportunity to test its stability.

: Overall its a fast boat with clean lines. I really didn't want something as
: big as the Chesapeake or Pygmy doubles, and it was a nice choice.
