For what it is worth... I have made both Nylon and Neoprene skirts. In my experience,the Neoprene one was easier. It also seals on the cockpit much better. I think it was worth it. Also, I bought a whole roll of neoprene from John R. Sweet www.johnrsweet.com. It was Nylon one side stuff and was $68 for a 110" X 52" roll (the material they stock is in smaller sheeets at a lower price). I have made one spray skirt, have the pieces cut for another, and have also made a pair of shorts and a hood and still have enough left over for a couple of more projects. Shawn Baker also posted a link recently to http://www.waterbugproducts.com/webprice.htm that has good prices too. (I think it was about $45 for a 82"X50" sheet.)
