If you purchase glass via mail order, request that your fiberglass be put on a roll for shipment. On my last shipment of 5 oz tight weave glass from RAKA, they even asked if I wanted it put on a roll when I placed the order. I have used 6 oz glass that has been shipped folded, and I didn't have a problem. The creases on the 6 oz glass were not very sharp and I drapped the glass on the hull for a day before wetting. I used 5 oz tight weave glass on my last boat and I think that creases would have been a bigger problem. The 5 oz tight weave tended to hold its shape and didn't lay down as easily as the 6 oz. Mostly it showed up as waves in some parts of the deck.
