• If it climbs the tree after you, it's a black bear

• If it can stand on its hind legs and reach you, it's a Kodiak

• If there are no trees and everything is white, it's a Polar bear.

• Black bear scat has twigs and berry seeds in it.

Kinda reminds me of the diving advice my wife and I recieved from our diving instructor a few years back:

1- never dive without a partner

2- never dive without a knife

3- if you see a shark, stab your partner then swim like h*#&!!!
