Shawn, I don't get it. Do you mean the Resin, Hardner and cloth cost $170? At first, I read it as the whole boat costing that, but based on the prices I'm paying for stuff, that would seem impossible. I'm East Coast (Virginia) and I paid $233 for Cedar and Cypress, $259 for glass, resin, hardner, pumps, UPS etc, $95 for plans, $53 for misc. stuff like sand paper, tape, glue, brushes, wax paper, plastic, mixing cups, etc., about $20 for minicell, will pay about $35 for foot braces, and I'm still not done yet.

I'm hoping the cost will stop at under $800, and much of the supplies I bought are re-usable (like, I bought a gallon of glue, and still have over 1/2 of it left for the next boat, etc).

If you really did manage to build a boat for a total of $170, then first - YOU ARE MY HERO, and second - HOW DID YOU DO IT!
