Got the Veritas job too. It's great. I find the handle a bit long to do some of the fairing in the stems that I'd like. Oh well, that's what a cabinet scraper's for I guess.

I second Bryan's rec to get the blade holder. I tried to make one out of hardwood scraps per the Lee Valley instructions, but couldn't get the holding power of the L-V one. I think it's worth the extra cash. With the holder, I can get that blade sharp as snot and (after a couple of glasses of wine Friday night) have the cuts in my fingers to prove it.
