: Here's the questions: How many layers of glass should I use? (5 oz. Raka
: glass)

I used 6 ounce glass and carbon fiber with Raka 127/350 on my Outer Island. I used 9 total layers in this sequence ... G, CF, G, G, CF, G, G, CF, G ... Give your lay-up ample time to COMPLETELY cure. It will feel a little flexible until it does. Make sure you cover your foam and INNER TOWER tower with clear packing tape and wax it so you can remove your lay-up with the least amount of effort. If you can stick your lay-up in the oven ... set at 150 or so ... it will cure MUCH faster ... prolly overnight. I guess you can paint it but I'd tint the resin. When I tint resin, I tint all of it, not just the last few coats.
