Thank you for responding. I guess "ridge" is the word (I apologize my not so good english). there are no gaps between strips on the outside. As I said in my posting I use straight edge strips, and my theory is:
I have overbeveled the strips in some places, with contact on the outside and a small gap on the inside. The unsealed wood on the inside, has during the winter been exposed to changing temp. and humidity, and that has caused the strips to twist/shift in some places. (Because of the small gap on the inside, it had room to shift)
I don't think these problems will affect the characteristics of the boat much, but my worry is that it will be difficult to sand over these ridges without sanding down to or thru the glass.
So.. I'm hoping for a good advice from this fantastic forum, you people have already given me loads of help and information.
