Bobby,
Are you cove 'n beading your strips? If not, have you tried it? If routed properly, you should be able to avoid these gaps requiring filler especially on decks where the curvature is much less. I had some gaps on my hull using C'n B strips, but only because I was not as particular when doing so. By the way, I really like your designs.
