: Just curious as to what types of hand saws are preferred for cutting hatch
: openings. I've heard of using thin bladed pull saw or a jig saw blade held
: in a vice grip but I was wondering what others have had success with?

: Taylor

I used a hand pull saw, and am dissapointed in my results... My ego would like to blame the saw. The problem with the saw was that I could not cut a radius
with it, so I ended up using a coping saw blad for the radius (which was a bit of a disaster).

The mistake I made was I put a bit of a bevel on the cut, such that the hatch woudl sit in place without the lip. after seeing the results, I do not recommend that. Using a Jig saw would have prevented this.

good luck
