In Response To: S&G: What kind of saw is best for cutting hatches? (Taylor Warren)

I figure I'm always one cut away from making a mistake. I guess I took this idea from Nick's book. I wanted to call attention to the hatch shape so I put a dark wood border around the hatch lid. It would also be one way to cover a mistake. I used a reciprocating saw with a fine tooth blade. The dark strip is mitered like a picture frame; I thought it would be easier than steam bending.
