I suspect that your strips expanded slightly while the boat was in storage. They could hae been affected by high humidity. The unfinished inside of the boat would "breathe" and the moisture content of the strips would change over time.

Leave them alone for now. Go on and finish the deck and the inside of the hull. when it comes time to complete the hull just sand lightly. If you should happen to sand through the glass in some area, then you'll need to patch it -- but only at that point.

Over the years you'll damage a few areas, and need to patch them. At that time you can sand down some of these ridges, and reglass these areas when you make those repairs.
