Looking for an answer to probably an obvious question.
Making a feathered paddle per Nick's book. Page 166 shows the ofsets for the paddle design. The question is the way the paddle is shown the way it is oriented on the shaft? That is, is the longer part of the blade on the bottom as you paddle (and as is shown in the book)? Several pictures I've seen of pictures paddling look to the contrary. Please advise!
