Hi Lindsay

If you can see the swirls now, you will see them under finish. Cross cuts in the grain will darken some when wet. You could run a damp cloth over the area and get an idea whether they will show or not.

Just out of curiousity, may I ask what grit you used on the sander... It's not normal to get swirls from an ROS. Cause would usually be very coarse grit and/or low speed.
