Thanks Guys:

I hadn't considered (though it makes a whole lot of sense) that the strippers are a bit softer/dentable/scratchable than the plywood boats.

Considering what you've said, if I can fit it into the budget, I'd like to try 4oz s-glass in Nick's standard layup (at least for the hull).
