Never use an eye bolt for towing *Pic*

: Hello All,

: I am looking for the best way to add a ring to the bow and stern for clipping
: bow lines, tow lines, etc.

Don't use a fixed ring to attach a tow line. A carabiner can become easily unclipped from a fixed eye ring. Always clip tow lines to the bow toggle or perimeter grab line. Why? See the image below.

: Would it interfere with rolling?

Use a quick disconnect so you can let the towee go if the towline is inhibiting your ability to roll. Always, always, always carry a sheathed fixed-blade knife in an accessible location so you can cut the towline in case your quick-release doesn't function.

Towing is serious business...at worst, it could result in entanglement, injury, or death. At best, you might save someone else's or your own life.
