Rob, The hybrid cloth I used is purely for cosmetics. I don't know much about strength or toughness. It is a combination of carbon and kevlar. The stuff looks cool and that is the only reason I have used it. I made my coaming with the cloth and will also use it for bulkheads and hip braces. I will post pics of the finished boat( when I finish) if I can find a reliable place to use for picture posting.
