I promised a report so here it is: I hate water pumps... I ran a preliminary test on my homemade footpump and of course there are leaks that have to be taken care of. It sure does make a mess! I have to put plumber's tape on all the connections and have to tweak one of the pistons too. Even with the leaks, it moves about 2.5gpm. I have compression loss on one piston; hopefully I can get up around 5gpm once everything is fixed. Do I feel like fixing it? Not really. I may let it sit for a few weeks before picking it up again.
