: The book says 1.1 gal. How much should I get?(this my first boat)

Hey Andrew,

I bought a 3 gal kit when I built my wife's Guillemot, even did a little extra on the glassing, and still had enough left over for some paddles.(you KNOW you're going to need a little extra for necessities . . right???)

US Composits sells a 3 gal kit for $86+ shipping. I used MAS epoxy on the Guillemot, but decided to try US Composits on my "L". I've only used it for filleting around the coaming and the seal coat so far, but, it seems to be ok. Anyway, they have got Raka and MAS beat on price. And, it actually smells a lot like Raka.

I'm planning on wetting out some glass today, so I'll post my opinion of the materials (4oz e glass and epoxy from U.S.) this evening when I'm done. I'm waiting for the temt to reach its high for the day before I start.
