My experience with the seal coat was about the same was that it seemed to be a little rough. I think it was from some little air bubbles that worked to the surface as the epoxy soaked in.I just ran some 120 very lightly over the hull to knock of the high spots and then went over with a tacky rag to remove the dust.

Doesn't sound like you have a major problem to me.
