Dave is right, about the raising of the grain.

However do not use a tack cloth, There is a small amount of petroleum products in it and could cause "fish-eyes". I use a damp (water) old clean rag and wipe down the boat after sanding.

Good Luck

: I have a question about the seal coat that I applied yesterday. The surface
: seems to have a slightly rough texture to it. I think that the epoxy
: started to kick while I was "tipping off" the air bubbles from
: the foam roller. And I know its got a little dust particles in it. Right
: now its still just barely tacky. I tried to lay the cloth over the hull a
: few minutes ago, but it doesn't want to slide around into position very
: well when attempting to remvoe the wrinkles.

: Have any of you experienced this in the past? Am I going to have to do a
: light sanding of just let it cure a little more first, Or both?

: I can't remember having this situation on the first boat or even if I checked
: the surface texture before I layed the cloth over it. Its really lousy
: getting so forgetful!

: Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

: Charles.
