Well Folks, the first round of glass has been completed and the results are in on the US Composites epoxy/slow hardener and 4oz glass.

But first, thanks to all who responded to the seal coat question that I posted. The grain was raised a bit and I found a few small air bubbles. I lightly hand sanded with 100 grit paper, then vacuumed the surface followed by a light wipe-down with an OLD tack cloth. The surface was then pretty smooth and the colth slid around with no problem.

The cloth wet out very clear with no problem what so ever. The only difference that I could detect at all, between this epoxy and the MAS that I used on my wife's boat, was the smell. At about half the price of MAS, if this stuff cures like it should, I can live with the different smell, IF it looks as good tomorrow as I think it does tonight anyway!

I decided to a single layer of glass at a time on this one. I did three 6oz layers at on time on my wife's yak, and I swore I'd never do that again. . talk about sweatin' blood. Anyway, I think I'll have a lighter layup doing one layer at a time.
