Hi, Rick-
I'm just putting the finishing touches on this winter's two boats, Guil Plays. I used 1.8oz Kevlar on the inside of the hull. Got it from Raka. Between the kevlar and the satin 3.25 oz stuff on the rest of the boat the epoxy use was just about halved. Wts of these boats 32-33lbs, vs. last years' 39-40 lbs with traditional 6 oz/4 oz cloth.
I'm also using 5/32" hardwood, so direct comparison probably won't work. The hull, however, feels (ouch) bulletproof. Really stiff. I hope to do some destructive testing (similar to Ted's recent tests) next year.
