I can't even keep a rod in my pirogue. I had it propped across the sides and was just turning the boat around a bit in a slight breeze to make a cast to an opening in the cypress trees, I bumped the rod (nice rod with 35 year old ABU 5000) and knocked it off, about turned the pirogue over trying to grab it before it sank. Had no rope or string, but plenty of hooks. Went back to the truck rigged up some rope with a bunch of weight and treble hooks, returned to accident scene, got it.

Caught a nice bass friday evening, but must admit he was smaller than yours. I ain't done yet tho.

P.S. A nice bass on a stringer with a mouth full of moss, will ruin your aerodynamics. Bring small cooler with ice!
