I've done enough over tinkering by now to realize that trying to do too much often ends up making things worse. I figured trying to sand along that line could do just what you said. So I went ahead and just did the next layer over top of it. You can see the line, but it doesn't bother me.

: That should be fine. I took mine ( on the inside seams ) and feathered them
: down to smooth, but in the process, sanded into the saturation coat and I
: got into the wood in a couple of places. Small and not too noticable.
: As you say, just taking the edge off will help considerably. Should be O.K.

: I don't remember if anyone has mentioned how small a curve that cloth will
: make, but if/when you get to the ends, before you put the resin on it, try
: bending the cloth over it. Not the center, but pull the cloth along the
: side of the boat over as if you were doing an wrap and see if it will take
: the bend... That will be at a 30 - 50* bend so you will have the bias of
: the cloth at that point. I know I cut my cloth ( if you remember the
: pictures of the Rob-Roy ) where I used 3.75oz satin ( tight weave ) glass
: and I had it sanded to a round over of about 3/8" at the stems. It
: curved right around... when using the bias. I tried tape and it wouldn't
: make it. I got 6 oz. plain weave to also wrap around from the sides. Laid
: down flat and wasn't a problem.

: However, if your brass is flat on the back side, you would probably not want
: to curve the glass around under it as it won't sit properly. ???
: Did you do an inner stem or filler and glass tape? As long as you have some
: strength inside, then you can probably get away with just resin on the
: outer edge and the brass over that.

I just ran it off the end and am fine with that. There are pretty good fillets inside and I may do a small end pour for more strength. No inner stem and no tape yet. Can't decide if I need tape or just glass inside. I'll probably post a query about that at some point.

: What....??? No Pictures yet....??? :)

I took lots! Patience.
