: We put down the second, full layer of glass over the football yesterday
: afternoon. It took us the same amount of time to do the full layer as it
: did to do the football. I guess we're getting better at it.
: Once again, it went very smoothly. Lots of concern about areas that looked
: like they might have spaces underneath - like around the bends between the
: panels and over the veneer - but I pushed them down many times and they
: turned out fine. I think I imagined most of them.
: So the hull is fully fiberglassed and it's beautiful. It is so cool to see
: the grain of the wood. There are many, many imperfections but not a one
: really bothers me. I've learned how not to make the same mistakes on my
: next one and the canoe is beautiful even with all its flaws. I did the
: best I could and couldn't be happier with my first attempt.
: Still much to do but I'm a happy camper.
