On the last hull , I put on a sealer coat with a squeege then while it was still wet I thickened up the remaining resin with wood flour and filled any cracks that showed. Using a squeege or a small putty knife you can tool off the excess filler and a light scrape the next day leaves the hull ready for glass.
Previously I had filled first and I had a dark areas show up after the seal coat.
