My GPS won't work out in the woods, either. The trees block transmission. It won't work when it's snowing. It won't work in a fanny pack that rides in front on my belly when I'm on my bike. But it does, as I said, work inside a kayak. And it works in my house or car. And it always works out in the open in my canoes.
