Why not just buy one of these for it. I use one for my Mag 315 and it fits perfectly. It's as waterproof as a dry bag because that's how it closes. It has a hook on it to hook it to your bungy cords. It's padded to protect your GPS, and it floats. Plus you can easily push the buttons on it.

Just don't rinse out the inside of it before removing the GPS like I did. Luckily I dumped the water right back out and didn't hurt the GPS.

Unfortunately my platinum won't fit in it because it's too wide.
