: When the coaming was done (and too high) I glassed the inside from under the

Why did you put it on the outside? I'm new at this and thought that fillets went under the tape, if only to make the corner less sharp.

: Then I added an oak lip. Made the coaming top flush and just coated the lip
: and entire coaming. As Pascal said, I kept feeding the coaming top (end
: grain) until it wouldn't take any more. It sucked up a lot of continuous
: coatings.

I wish I'd read your post before I started taping the lip this morning - about halfway through I thought how much nicer it would look without the fiberglass on the lip.
